After the extensive renovation of the Untersbergbahn, the mountain station with a viewing terrace for guests with physical disabilities can now be reached.
A maximum of 2 wheelchairs are possible per gondola.
Valley station:
There are parking spaces for people with physical disabilities immediately in front of the new wheelchair ramp right next to the entrance. The way to the cable car gondola is via a passenger lift. A toilet facility for people with physical disabilities is available.
Mountain station:
Unfortunately, due to the building, no passenger lift could be installed later. A stair lift device (see photo) was therefore purchased.
The wheelchair transporter has a maximum load capacity of 130kg (wheelchair users with wheelchairs).
Persons with an electric wheelchair can only be transported by transferring to a non-electric wheelchair (1 available).
A toilet facility for people with physical disabilities is available.
Exit mountain:
Automatic doors allow the exit to the outside. After the immediately adjoining viewing terrace, however, the partly steep and mostly graveled mountain path to the summit begins, which is no longer part of the cable car area. This path is no longer suitable for wheelchairs.
Directions:
People with physical disabilities can use public transport to get to the Untersbergbahn using lines 5 and 25.
